An education in game-making

HappyZone started it’s life as a student project early in my degree at LSBU.

A “messy, scrappy but charming” sandbox game with a guided tour, it was the first game to truly feel like my own.

This game birthed my style of game-making and after fixing it up and polishing, you can now play BOTH VERSIONS.

The game itself is FREE, but there are rewards for supporting development!

For $8, access the original design documents from the 2018 project AND access the soundtrack! Enjoy the 13 minute Ambient BGM or the worst ringtone of all time whilst you read the original game's vision, how that did(n't) come to pass and get some context on the development process.

For $15 or more, you can access the janky, dreadful student build for Windows. Compare, contrast and marvel at 3 years worth of game dev experience reflected in one remaster.
